Mets Over Braves, 3-1 New York Mets starter Jackson Cox was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Atlanta Braves, 3-1. Steven Okert earned the save for New York, his 33rd of the year. The third-place Mets improved to 76-71. The Mets got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jorge Polanco. For the game, Polanco was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave New York a 3-0 lead. "Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Cox.
