Red Sox Slap 7-2 Loss on Toronto

The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Rogers Centre, dropping the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-2. Clay Holmes, who is tied for 6th in the AL with a 3.45 ERA, was the difference-maker. Boston has now won 4 straight.
Curtis Mead had a big 2-run home run for the Red Sox in the top of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from Cody Ponce, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a 1.21 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 19th home run of the season, which put the Red Sox on top, 5-0.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Holmes.
